There are a few classic fashion pieces that elevate every woman's wardrobe. I recommend following this rule: Don't invest in any other garment until you own proper everyday basics. I've made this mistake early on when building my wardrobe, I bought pieces like occasion wear which looked nice but weren't versatile. I could not wear those pieces that often and I struggled on what outfit to put together on a daily basis. Our goal is not to impress people with one special piece and then wear questionable, old or unfitting clothes any other day. Our goal is to find signature style based on few great pieces and to look our best every day! Think about how many times you are going to wear the clothes you buy, about the number of possible ways to combine them, about the way they make you feel. If there are only few pieces you can invest in right now, make sure to start with these:
1. WHITE SHIRT
White shirt is an absolute classic. Make sure to look for natural materials like cotton, linen or silk. It doesn't matter if a style is more fitted or oversized, there are endless options. Chose the one that flatters your body and fits into your everyday lifestyle.

2. QUALITY DENIM
When it comes to jeans, quality matters. Look for thicker material, best 100% cotton, or cotton-elastane mix. You can recognise a quality style by the way it holds its shape and stands on your body. Again, chose a style that personally fits you best. Some examples of elegant styles are straight jeans, culottes, or flare jeans.

3. BLACK BLAZER
The right blazer will change your whole look. Chose one wisely, and you won't need to buy more. Look for wool or cotton material and pay attention to the fit. I find fitted blazers with sharper shoulders the most sophisticated and flattering on me, but you might prefer more oversized or relaxed shape.

4. WARM SWEATER
For the colder days it's important to have at least one good quality knit. You can go for more finer ones, ideally cashmere. From the bulkier ones, you can go for wool, alpaca, or merino wool for the best quality. My tip is to buy from brands that specialise in knitwear, or at least have a wider collection of knitted items.

5. TRENCHCOAT
The most iconic trenchcoats are usually in natural colour and made from wool or cotton twill. The fabric should be thick enough to hold its shape nicely. A slightly oversized fit is preferable when you are wearing sweater or something else underneath to make sure it fits without feeling too tight. When shopping for your signature trench, the devil is in the detail- look at how its sewn, check the buttons and lining.
